behind the scenes with JHR journalists as they blow the whistle on a government minister in Sierra Leone. This piece was used as journalism training in investigative reporting for journalists across the country. It’s a story about an environmental disaster and its links to a former government minister. The piece–about an oil recycling plant outside of Freetown–took two weeks to report and appeared in the Concord Times on Sept.7th. It was reported by Ibrahim Tarawallie from the CTimes, Sheku Somalia and Ibrahim Samura from SLBS TV, Danny Glenwright, and Kim Brunhuber (who also filmed and edited this series).
